Madras Middle School SRO

Deputy Sheriff, Andy Gore Email: andy.gore@cowetaschools.net

The Coweta County School Resource Unit employs officers who are assigned as full-time school resource officers at the middle schools and high schools in the Coweta County School System, and several officers are also assigned to the county's elementary schools teaching a drug awareness program called “Project S.A.F.E.”

At the middle and high school level, deputy sheriffs are in place as a resource for students, parents, and teachers. The officers are on campus to provide a safe and secure environment for the students to attend school but are also available to assist in answering questions about Georgia laws, school policies, and to teach informational classes for students.

Madras school resource officer, Andy Gore, was born and raised in Coweta County. He has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since 1995, assigned to the Jail, Patrol division, Criminal investigations, Crime Suppression Unit as a Drug investigator, and School Resource Unit.

Officer Gore works with staff, parents, students, and the school community to proactively monitor and supervise day-to-day activities and extra-curricular activities and to provide a feeling of safety and security to our students. He also mentors and sponsors the Junior Law Enforcement Academy which meets during the second semester of each school year.

If you have questions or would like to report an immediate safety concern, you can contact Officer Davis at 770-254-2744 or by email at andy.gore@cowetaschools.net
